Curriculum
Interdisciplinary Team Building and Collaboration

Team Meeting Format

The general format for team meetings is as follows:
Review of previous meeting and any intervening new items (5-10 minutes),
Curriculum Review (10-15 minutes),
Project Advancement (majority of the meeting), and
Closing (5-10 minutes)

Curriculum Review
Each student, or in some cases, a couple of students, will choose a particular aspect of the curriculum to present to the group during the Curriculum Review period. All team members are responsible for reading the material presented in the curriculum and completing the assignments, but the designated individual(s) will start the discussion, ensure that all the important points are covered, and act as the resource person(s) for that topic.

A student might choose a topic because of its relevance to what they are studying in their professional program, e.g., a Health Services Management and Leadership student choosing to present Team Building Tools. Sometimes students choose a topic that they will not be studying in their professional program because this offers the opportunity to expand knowledge in a supportive environment, e.g., a medical student presenting on the COPC components.

The curriculum components to be covered are:
    Interdisciplinary Team Building and Collaboration
    Team Management
    Cultural Competency
This topic reasonably might be covered by a couple of students.
    CQI/COPC
This topic needs at least two students.
