Meet the Staff

Stanley M. Knoll, MD, F.A.C.S.
Medical Director

Dr. Stanley Knoll joined the International Medicine Programs in November 2003. Dr. Knoll is a board-certified surgeon and a senior partner in a large general surgery practice first established in 1952. The group, Surgical Associates, Chartered, maintains its offices in Washington, D.C.

Dr. Knoll received his Bachelor of Science degree in 1964 from the University of Pittsburgh and his Doctor of Medicine from the Chicago Medical School in 1968. He obtained his surgical training as Intern, Resident and Chief Resident in Surgery at The George Washington University Medical Center, from 1968 to 1974. After serving two years in the United States Army, Dr. Knoll joined the surgical practice that he heads today. In addition to conducting a full-time practice of surgery, Dr. Knoll is Clinical Professor of Surgery at The George Washington University Medical Center.

Dr. Knoll also enjoys special experience and interests in many administrative and consultative areas of medicine. He is Medical Director for the International Medicine Programs. Dr. Knoll has consulted, operated and lectured abroad in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Vietnam and elsewhere, on surgical, educational and administrative medical issues.
