Meet the Staff

Amanda Tuffli, MSW
Executive Associate

Amanda Tuffli is the Executive Associate at the Office of International Medicine Programs at The George Washington University Medical Center. She joined IMP in October 2008, after receiving her Masters in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania in May 2008.

Ms. Tuffli has worked internationally as a Peace Corps volunteer in Uzbekistan from 2003 to 2005. She also worked as a research assistant in Malawi on a demographic research project surrounding HIV/AIDS and social networking patterns in June 2008. Before joining the Peace Corps Ms. Tuffli received her BA in Journalism from Marquette University in 2002.

As executive associate, Ms. Tuffli manages IMP’s International Clinical Electives Program for GW and international medical students. She also assists with other academic programs such as the International MD Program, International Residency Program, as well as Fellowship and Observership Program. She works on finding grant funding for IMPs projects, as well as assists the Executive and Program Directors with various international projects and programs.
