HSPI Steering Committee Member Eric Holder becomes Attorney General

February 20, 2009—The Honorable Eric Holder, a former member of The George Washington University Homeland Security Policy Institute (HSPI) Steering Committee, was recently sworn in as the 82nd Attorney General of the United States.

Dr. John F. Williams, Provost of The George Washington University and Vice President for Health Affairs of the University’s Medical Center commented: “I thoroughly congratulate Eric Holder on his confirmation as our nation’s newest Attorney General, and thank him for his service to HSPI and the greater George Washington University community. We look forward to General Holder’s honorable leadership of the Department of Justice.”

Cilluffo, Director of HSPI. “We congratulate him on his historic confirmation, and thank General Holder for his service as a member of our Steering Committee.
