Warren Wright is Managing Partner for Gallup. He leads The Gallup Government Group, a division that combines the scientific advancements of psychology, sociology, computing and statistics to achieve newinsights for governments and non-governmental organizations worldwide. He is also Managing Partner in charge of sales and marketing of Gallup’s World Poll, the largest on-going polling project in the world, surveying 95% of the world’s population in 140 countries.
Wright started at Gallup in 2000 as Partner in charge of business development for consulting engagements in the private sector. His focus was engagements specializing in strategic performance management initiatives for sales growth, customer retention and brand-building strategies for Fortune 1,000 clients. Wright has a demonstrated expertise in the retail, finance, manufacturing, energy, and information technology sectors, as well as the public sector.
Prior to opening the Gallup Cleveland office in May 2000, Wright was an enterprise developer and entrepreneur. He developed strategic human resource initiatives and contributed to America’s growth in leading-edge sourcing strategies. Wright served as an officer of Atlanta-based Jobfinder.com in 1998. His leadership roles have included head of sales and marketing within Viacom, CBS, and Greater Media, and he has overseen functional organizations in operations, product development, and human resource systems.
Wright is an experienced communicator and began his career in the radio and television industries. He has served on numerous advisory panels and executive committees over the years, and given speeches on diverse topics such as Public Diplomacy, Behavioral Psychology, Customer Retention, Authentic Leadership, and City Well-Being.
Wright received a bachelor’s degree in political science from Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and an MBA with the Gallup/University of Nebraska Leadership program, with a specialty in Leadership and Behavioral Psychology, studying under Bruce Avolio, Ph.D., one of America’s leading academics on the subject of leadership.
Wright resides in Arlington, VA and works out of Gallup’s headquarters in Washington DC.
