Jean Johnson , PhD, FAAN

Professor

Dr. Jean Johnson PhD, FAAN is the Senior Associate Dean for Health Sciences at The George Washington University. She provides leadership to the Health Sciences Programs that include numerous different disciplines. She has served on many national committees and task forces including the Pew Health Professions Commission, the Institutes of Medicine’s Future of Primary Care and others. She is also the National Program Director of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s Partnerships for Training Program that takes education to health professions students living in medically underserved areas. She has served as president of the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties and the American College of nurse practitioners. Her clinical practice has been in the care of the elderly.
