Susan LeLacheur , DrPH, PA-C

Director of the Academic Curriculum

Susan F. LeLacheur, MPH, PA-C graduated from the Howard University physician assistant program in 1982. After several years of working in family practice in a largely Latino community, she began work with HIV clinical research in 1987. She obtained a Masters in Public Health in 1989, and is currently working toward a doctorate of public health in the field of health behaviors. She is an Assistant Professor of Health Care Sciences in the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, and continues part-time volunteer clinical work with HIV/AIDS patients at the Whitman Walker Clinic in Washington, DC. She regularly lectures professional groups on the topics of sexually transmitted infections and HIV/AIDS. Her research and educational interests are in the fields of cultural competence and genetics education for physician assistant and other health profession students.
