MSN: Nursing Leadership and Management

The Nursing Leadership and Management Program prepares nurses for leadership positions in all sectors of the health-care delivery system. The program was developed to enhance and develop the depth of knowledge in management and leadership skills in the practicing clinical professional from various disciplines. Graduates of the program will have the capacity and competence to be successful in mid-level and upper-level management positions.

Nursing needs more nurses who have management and leadership education and demonstrated competency. The rigorous curriculum includes a major focus on leadership development. Courses supporting leadership skills include content in economics and finance, human resources, quality improvement, and marketing. The course work is delivered through distance education as well as selected on-campus experiences.
