I am a Professor of Pathology, Associate Dean for Health Sciences, and Director of the Clinical Laboratory Science Program. I am also the Principal Investigator of the NCI-funded East Coast AIDS and Cancer Specimen Bank and a Co-Investigator in the NIH-funded Women's Interagency HIV Study. My doctorate is in Microbiology. I have recently been developing a program for capacity building in clinical research.

My primary role is working with our Army and Navy Medical Lab Technology certificate programs and also with those military students who choose to pursue the Associate’s degree in the same field. I most enjoy working directly with and assisting the military contract students I serve and helping them to reach their educational goals. I am new to the university and academia in general, and I’m enjoying the challenges of working at such a large university.
