Sample Programs of Study

The secondary Field of Study is intended to provide a well-rounded experience in the field of Emergency Medical Services. You will gain specific knowledge within the field of Emergency Health Services including the unique challenges of EMS Management, EMS systems, and EMS operation.

The Secondary Field of Study is intended for current George Washington University undergraduate students with an interest in clinical EMS and EMS Management.

Core (12 credits)

EHS 041           EMT-Basic Lab (1 credit)
EHS 170           EMS System Design (4 credits)
EHS 166           Current Topics (1 credit)
HSci 103           Health Policy and Health Care systems (3 credits)

Please choose 3-4 credit hours from the following list:

Additional courses may be applied toward the SFS with approval of the EHS Program Director. The proposed SFS curriculum is expected to be completed in as little as two semesters.
