Emergency Health Services
Secondary Field of Study
Those students interested in the EHS Secondary Field of Study are required to have a meeting with the EHS Program director during the first semester that they are in the program. The EHS SFS curriculum can be completed in as little as two semesters.
Additional courses may be applied toward the SFS with approval of the EHS Program Director, including the following on-campus courses taught by emergency medicine physicians:
The secondary Field of Study is intended to provide a well-rounded experience in the field of Emergency Medical Services. You will gain specific knowledge within the field of Emergency Health Services including the unique challenges of EMS Management, EMS systems, and EMS operation.
The Secondary Field of Study is intended for current George Washington University undergraduate students with an interest in clinical EMS and EMS Management.
