Education & Professional Interests
Professor Rogers received a Certificate in Physical Therapy from the D.T. Watson School of Physiatrics and the University of Pittsburgh, and a Masters of Medical Science from Emory University. She has extensive experience in clinical practice, teaching and administration. She is well known in the Washington, D.C. community for her service in various leadership roles in academia, in the health community and with the District of Columbia Chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association. Her clinical and teaching expertise and interests are in the areas of musculoskeletal dysfunction, health promotion and wellness, and ethics. In scholarship, the areas of interest are: effects of exercise on the psychological, physical and social aspects of aging, and musculoskeletal dysfunction and aging. Professor Rogers continues to practice in the outpatient setting and is Director of a Community Fitness Clinic that is staffed by the physical therapy faculty
