MSHS: Clinical Research Administration

Clinical research administration is a vast and expanding field that involves the processes in which products (drugs, devices, biologicals) and treatment protocols are developed for patient care. Both the master's degree and graduate certificate prepare health sciences professionals to participate in the science and business of developing patient care products and protocols. The rigorous curriculum focuses on regulatory requirements, ethical issues, processes for product development, the business of clinical research, and scientific method processes for patient care product development. The distance education format, offered via the Internet, provides a convenient option for self-disciplined and self-directed students to pursue the program and prepare for professional advancement while continuing with their work and other commitments.

“I am enjoying the program immensely.  I am impressed with the knowledge of the faculty, and every day I learn something new and directly applicable to my work.  In addition to working towards a graduate degree, I have also seen measurable improvements in my knowledge of the clinical development process that have increased my productivity.” –  Unsolicited remarks in 2009 Summer Semester from CRA graduate student, and pharmaceutical clinical research manager.
