Tamara Norman

Tamara Norman began her career as a laboratory technician at the National Cancer Institutes. After graduating from college, she continued to perform laboratory research at the Medical College of Pennsylvania and the Fox Chase Cancer Center, both in Philadelphia.
Upon moving to Chicago, Tamara worked at Northwestern University in epidemiological research. Then, in 1988, she took on a new role as clinical research coordinator for the newly formed AIDS Clinical Trials Group (ACTG) at Northwestern.
After 8 years in AIDS clinical research, Mrs. Norman began to explore other therapeutic areas monitoring and managing clinical trials for several pharmaceutical companies, including Kos, Searle (which became Pharmacia and is now Pfizer), Unimed (which became part of Solvay), and Takeda. Her last position at Takeda was managing a pilot program in patient recruitment.
In 2004, Tamara Norman became an adjunct assistant professor for GWU. In 2005, she was inducted into the National Alpha Eta Honor Society, an allied health academic honor society that promotes scholarship and recognizes leadership in health care professions.
