BS/MS-Clinical Research Administration Dual Degree Program

Clinical Research Administration continues to evolve into a more global and complex set of integrated research and business processes. The combined bachelor's and master's degree program prepares health sciences professionals to participate as leaders in this field of regulartory guidelines that protect human subjects. Additionally, students apply principles of clinical research administration and management to identify and define strategies to meet future needs of organizations operating in this dynamic field. Graduates of this program will have the capacity and demonstrated competence to be successful in leadership roles throughout the industry.

We have learned that working adult students need to be able to take classes on a flexible schedule in order to maintain a balance in their professional, personal and student lives. Towards that end, our classes are offered on a weekly schedule that accommodates the unpredictability of life for busy adults. Rather than meet, on a given day at a given time, each “class” session typically lasts from 12:01 am on Monday until midnight the following Sunday. Students log on to classes, download course materials, complete assignments and participate in class discussions anytime during the 7 day, 24 hour per day time period. All work is completed via the internet, so it isn’t necessary to leave home/work to go to class. In fact, many of our students’ first visit to George Washington University campus is for graduation and even that’s optional.

Our students, come from many health care professions and a variety of backgrounds. This diversity provides a rich learning environment in which students, relate their real-world experiences with each other in a rigorous academic setting. This make for a better learning experience, and interdisciplinary learning.

This multi-level dual degree program offers academically qualified individuals a seamless and accelerated pathway for completing both the Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences (BSHS) in Clinical Research Administration and the Master of Science in Health Sciences (MSHS) in Clinical Research Administration (CRA).
