David Bloomer , MHA, CCRA, CCRCP-A

Assistant Professor

David Bloomer is currently Senior Project Manager in the CNS Division of Project Management for Quintiles Transnational, where he manages all aspects of global clinical trials. Prior to his current position he served nearly three years as the Director of Clinical Research Administration at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, Louisiana, where he was responsible for providing strategic planning and implementation of institution-wide initiatives for clinical research and industry-sponsored clinical trials and he is the institutiones principal Clinical Trial Agreements Negotiator. In addition to his position at LSUHSC-S, Mr. Bloomer serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Clinical Research Administration at The George Washington University Medical Center, located in Washington, DC and teaches courses in Clinical Trials Monitoring. He is also a national speaker on the topics of State Laws and Clinical Trial Contracts. Mr. Bloomer has over fifteen years of clinical research experience in the pharmaceutical industry at both pharmaceutical companies and CROs. He previously held positions as a Lead Clinical Trials Manager in Project Management, Regional Clinical Research Associate Manager, and Lead/Field Clinical Research Associate. Mr. Bloomer received his Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration with a second major in Sociology from Centenary College in Shreveport, Louisiana and a Masters in Health Administration from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. Mr. Bloomer is a Certified Clinical Research Associate through the Association of Clinical Research Professionals and a Certified Research Contracts Professional (Academic) through the Model Agreement Group Initiative.
