As an independent consultant, Beth Harper focus in the clinical trial industry is in evaluating, predicting and enhancing site performance in clinical trials. She has had the opportunity to play numerous roles in the industry from study coordinator, CRA, CRA director, and various senior management positions in clinical research operations for large pharma, an SMO and a patient recruitment services provider.
Ms. Harper received her B.S. in Occupational Therapy from the University of Wisconsin, and an M.B.A. from the University of Texas. She lives in Dallas-Ft. Worth, Texas with her husband of 22 years and spends as much free time as possible in beautiful Colorado.
Beth has a passion for education (learning and teaching!) and has been involved in training patients, healthcare and clinical research professionals her entire career. Her teaching philosophy can be summarized to some extent by a quote from one of her favorite authors, Paulo Coelho. “What is a teacher? It isn’t someone who teaches something, but someone who inspires the student to give of her best in order to discover what she already knows.”
