Catherine Turley

Education
Dr. Turley earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Southern Illinois University in 1989 and went on to complete a master’s in Health Services Administration from the University of Massachusetts-Lowell in 1993. In 2002, she received her Doctor of Education in Higher Education Administration from the Graduate School of Education and Human Development at The George Washington University, where her doctoral research focused on the leadership orientations of radiation therapy educators. In 2004, she completed a graduate certificate in Leadership Development through the Master Teacher in Medical Education Program offered by Children’s National Medical Center and GW’s Graduate School of Education and Human Development.
In addition, Dr. Turley holds certificates in radiography from the University Hospitals of Cleveland in Ohio (1974) and radiation therapy from the Radiologic Associates of Sacramento in California (1986).
Professional & Research Interests
Dr. Turley has more than 20 years experience as a radiographer and radiation therapist. She has served on numerous committees of the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT). She is currently chairman of the Editorial Review Board of Radiation Therapist and sits on the Research Grants and Advisory Panel of the ASRT Education and Research Foundation.
