Clinical Management and Leadership/Clinical Practice Management Dual Degree Program

The Clinical management and Leadership and Clinical Practice Management Programs have been preparing managers and leaders in health sciences disciplines for nearly a decade at the undergraduate and graduate levels respectively. The multi-level dual degree option offers academically qualified individuals a seamless and accelerated opportunity to complete both the Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences in Clinical Management and Leadership and the Master of Health Science in Health Sciences in Clinical Practice Management.

We have learned that working adult students need to be able to take classes on a flexible schedule in order to maintain a balance in their professional, personal and student lives. Towards that end, our classes are offered on a weekly schedule that accommodates the unpredictability of life for busy adults. Rather than meet, on a given day at a given time, each “class” session typically lasts from 12:01 am on Monday until midnight the following Sunday. Students log on to classes, download course materials, complete assignments and participate in class discussions anytime during the 7 day, 24 hour per day time period. All work is completed via the internet, so it isn’t necessary to leave home/work to go to class. In fact, many of our students’ first visit to George Washington University campus is for graduation and even that’s optional.

Our students, come from many health care professions and a variety of backgrounds. This diversity provides a rich learning environment in which students, relate their real-world experiences with each other in a rigorous academic setting. This make for a better learning experience, and interdisciplinary learning.
