Clinical Management and Leadership Dual Degree Program

About the Program

The Clinical Management and Leadership Dual Degree Program prepares professionals from a variety of clinical disciplines for positions in all sectors of the health care delivery system. Program graduates have the capacity and demonstrated competence to be successful in mid- and upper-level leadership and management roles throughout the health care industry.

In this era of rapid change and advancing technologies, The George Washington University (GWU) is proud to offer this combined bachelors/masters degree through distance learning.

  • It provides an exciting and dynamic way for busy professionals to use their homes or offices as virtual classrooms to advance their knowledge, skills and careers without ever setting foot on campus.
  • Health science professionals with associate degrees or certificates from hospital programs – radiographers, respiratory therapists, nurses, and medical laboratory technicians to name a few – have faced limited educational opportunities that build upon their preparation in a clinical discipline. Whether one’s goal is career advancement, graduate study, enhanced performance in a current position, or simply to broaden knowledge and skills, the dual degree program provides a unique opportunity for working health science professionals to receive both undergraduate and graduate degrees.
  • Courses focus on communication skills, leadership/group effectiveness, administrative functions, operations and information management, consumer needs, and the changing face of health care. In short, the program provides students with the knowledge, abilities, and vision to move health sciences organizations effectively into the next millennium.
