Clinical Management and Leadership Program

The faculty and staff of the George Washington University (GWU) Clinical Management and Leadership Program would like to welcome and encourage you to take time and browse our website! We are delighted that you are looking at our program and want you to know that this program is designed to offer excellent opportunities for health care professionals to advance their careers by obtaining an undergraduate degree from a renowned university and get maximum credit for their clinical training and prior education.

The Clinical Management and Leadership (CML) Program has been in existence for almost 10 years. During that time, we have learned that working adult students need to be able to take classes on a flexible schedule in order to maintain a balance in their professional, personal and student lives. Towards that end, our classes are offered on a weekly schedule that accommodates the unpredictability of life for busy adults. Rather than meet, on a given day at a given time, each “class” session typically lasts from 12:01 am on Monday until midnight the following Sunday. Students log on to classes, download course materials, complete assignments and participate in class discussions anytime during the 7 day, 24 hour per day time period. All work is completed via the internet, so it isn’t necessary to leave home/work to go to class. In fact, many of our students’ first visit to George Washington University campus is for graduation and even that’s optional.

Our students, come from many health care professions and a variety of backgrounds. This diversity provides a rich learning environment in which students, relate their real-world experiences with each other in a rigorous academic setting. This make for a better learning experience, and interdisciplinary learning.

We hope you find this site informative. If you would like additional information about the Clinical Management and Leadership Program, please feel free to contact us. We’d be happy to answer any questions that you may have and help you in the pursuit of your educational goals.
