Master of Science in Health Sciences: Immunohematology
On behalf of the faculty of The George Washington University (GWU) Program in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS), I would like to welcome you. The MSHS in Immunohematology is our newest program and we are proud to be able to offer it to you.
Since 2000, this program has been offered to individuals attending the Walter Reed Army Medical Center’s accredited Specialist in Blood Banking Program (SBB). In this program, military students take their accredited SBB courses and an additional 22 credits of courses through The George Washington University. With this combination of courses, they are eligible to receive a Masters of Science in Immunohematology. All of the additional GW courses are now available through distance learning, so we are now able to offer this program to individuals who are attending other accredited SBB programs or who have been certified as an SBB within the last seven years the same opportunity.
This program is available on a part-time basis. I hope you find all the information you need as you look deeper into the program requirements and wish you good luck in your career goals. If you would like additional information, please contact Dr. Sylvia Silver at ssilver@gwu.edu or Ms. Carol Smith at casmith@gwu.edu.
