Clinical Laboratory Science Certificate Program
The GW School of Medicine and Health Sciences offers both a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences (BSHS) with a major in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) and a Certificate Program. The CLS Program at GW is designed to provide students with broad-based knowledge in clinical and basic sciences. The program offers a unique blend of online coursework combined with clinical instruction in hospital laboratories.
The CLS program is accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences, 5600 N. River Road, Suite 720, Rosemont, IL 60018-5119, phone number: (713) 714-8880. Graduates of both the degree and certificate programs are eligible to take national examinations for certification as a medical laboratory scientist, such as those offered by the Board of Certification of the American Society for Clinical Pathology.
