Second Degree BSN Program

Program Requirements

The second degree BSN program is a full-time program that will span four semesters. Students will enter the second degree BSN program in the fall semester with full-time status and will complete the program in 15 months. Due to the intensity of the second-degree BSN program, the School of Nursing highly recommends that students do not hold employment while enrolled in courses.

Graduates of the BSN program are required to complete 60 semester hours.

  • * Courses with one asterisk are graduate level, web-based distance learning and may be applied to the Master of Science in Nursing at the George Washington University.

    ** Courses with two asterisks have a clinical practicum, which will result in a total of at least 700 clinical hours throughout the program.
