Health Sciences' faculty competencies encompass the knowledge and skills needed to teach at GWU. Depending upon what you teach, you may not need to master every competency area. The goal of this list is to provide you with tools and resources for reflective professional development.

We suggest that you use the checklist to track your current knowledge and skills in each competency area, and identify areas for improvement. The document also includes links to learning opportunities and resources to support your development in each competency area.
