School of Nursing
During the 2008-2009 academic year, the George Washington University Honor Society of Nursing will be offering two small grant awards ($500 each) to members of the Honor Society and nursing students currently enrolled in our graduate programs. We strongly encourage hospital nurses with creative projects and ideas to apply. Because this is the launching year for this initiative, nursing faculty will not be permitted to apply for these grant awards.
The Honor Society desires to support any nursing research project that will make a contribution to nursing practice or scholarship. To that end, a project that purports to solve a clinically based problem is just as important as the project that asks a more sophisticated question and is not clinically focused. Projects that attempt to address the needs of “at-risk” or “vulnerable” populations are of particular interest.
Submissions will be accepted from December 1, 2008 through February 27, 2009. Awards will be announced April 2, 2009. Applications (paper or electronic) are to be submitted to: |
