Opportunities for Military Medical Personnel

There are five distance education Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences (BSHS) programs to choose from:

Clinical Health Sciences

Designed to build on the strengths of the IDC training and provide a combination of opportunities to fulfill requirements leading to a BSHS degree with a major in Clinical Health Sciences. IDCs who complete the course work will be prepared to continue their education in graduate or professional programs in such fields as physician assistant, public health and health services administration.

Clinical Management and Leadership

Designed to prepare leaders in the changing healthcare environment, courses in the Clinical Management and Leadership program focus on communication skills, leadership/group effectiveness, administrative functions, operations and information management and consumer needs.

Clinical Research Administration

Designed to prepare health sciences professionals to participate in the science and business of developing patient care products (drugs, devices and biologicals) and treatment protocols.

Emergency Health Services

Designed to develop the clinical and leadership competencies necessary for a successful career in EMS.

Clinical Laboratory Science

Designed to provide students with a broad-based knowledge in clinical and basic sciences. This program offers the opportunity for MLTs/CLTs to pursue their bachelor's degree while continuing to work in their clinical setting.
