Sonography

The George Washington University is a pioneer in the field of sonography education. The program at GW was the first in the Washington/Baltimore area to offer a baccalaureate degree in sonography. In addition to a Bachelor's of Sciences in Health Sciences (BSHS) degree, we also offer Undergraduate Certificates. Whether in the degree or the certificate options, students may declare clinical practice choices in General, Cardiac or Vascular Sonography; or a combination of General and Vascular or Cardiac and Vascular clinical practice areas.

Prospective Students

Please sign up for one of our upcoming information sessions. These sessions are mandatory, and we recommend attending an information session prior to beginning your application process. You must attend one before your application will be considered complete.
