FAQs

Does my admission into the GWU program guarantee admission into the Shenandoah University (SU) PharmD program?

No, you must apply to the SU PharmD program and meet their minimum requirements. For more information on the SU PharmD program application process please contact pharmd@su.edu.

What can I do with a B.S. degree in pharmacogenomics?

The opportunities are endless in this rapidly evolving field. The program prepares students for entrance into graduate, medical or pharmacy school after graduation. Moreover, graduates may also seek employment as technicians in academic, industrial and governmental laboratories.

Are there opportunities to gain research experience?

Yes, we offer a summer internship program to be arranged for interested students by the Program Director. Internships are tailored towards the student’s career ambitions. In the past, our students have enjoyed summer positions at local pharmaceutical companies and government agencies.
