GWish is working to further integrate spirituality into the curriculum for healthcare providers. This includes medical school, primary care residency, and psychiatry residency programs. For over 11 years we ran a successful award programs for curricular initiatives in spirituality and health in medical education.
Additional educational efforts include creating a summer institute to help practicing healthcare professionals provide high-quality healthcare that incorporates spirituality as part of excellent holistic care, and work with a Canadian advisory group of medical educators, ethicists and chaplains to develop a national Canadian initiative in Spirituality and Medical Education.
