Clinical Research

We are committed to expanding our efforts in offering state-of-the-art, multi-disciplinary, compassionate clinical care, with special emphasis on cancers which disproportionately affect minorities, including:

  • Breast Cancer - The GWU MFA Breast Care Center offers comprehensive programs for early detection, diagnosis, treatment, education, psychotherapy and support groups.
  • Lung Cancer - The GW CardioThoracic Center offers world-recognized unique programs in minimally invasive surgery, video-assisted surgery and thoracic oncology.
  • Prostate Cancer - The GW Department of Urology and Divisions of Medical Oncology and Radiation Oncology offer comprehensive programs for screening, diagnosis, multi-disciplinary treatment, education and patient support groups.
  • Gastrointestinal/ Colorectal Cancer - The GW Divisions of Gastroenterology and Medical Oncology offer comprehensive programs in colon cancer screening; state-of-the-art endoscopy, including endoscopic ultrasound and photodynamic therapy; and world-class expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of gastroenterological cancers.
