Elected as Royal Society of Medicine Fellow
Tsung O. Cheng, MD, professor of medicine,
Division of Cardiology, was recently elected a fellow of the Royal
Society of Medicine, London, United Kingdom. The Royal Society
of Medicine was founded nearly 200 years ago and promotes the
exchange of information and ideas on the science, practice, and
organization of medicine and allied health-care professions. Dr.
Cheng has been with GWUMC for 30 years and has many additional
honors to his credit. He received his medical degree from the
University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Throughout his
career he has been an international lecturer, having established
academic interactions with colleagues in his native China. His
international collaborations recenty included visiting professorships
at the University of Istanbul, Turkey, and the University of Athens,
Greece.
