in Bahamas
The Ronald Reagan Institute of Emergency Medicine
(RRIEM), with support from the Pan American Health Organization
(PAHO) and the Bahamian Public Hospital Authority, is providing
assistance in the development the Bahamian Emergency Medical Services
(EMS) system. Keith Holtermann, DrPH, MBA, MPH, assistant dean,
Health Science Programs, and chief of research and health policy
analysis, RRIEM, wrote a report for PAHO recently about the condition
of the EMS System in the Bahamas. The report recognized the very
capable and dedicated individuals aspiring to provide the very
best of care to their clients-their number-one priority is more
