Why GW?
Many facets of the George Washington University Department of Radiology are appealing to applicants. Some of the many aspects which make this program tremendous are listed here.
The Hospital
Opened on August 23rd 2002, The George Washington University moved into a brand new facility. For the Department of Radiology, this marked a significant jump forward.

The department was designed from the start to provide filmless radiology with the latest advancements in PACS technology.

New equipment was also purchased with the latest software packages that enable the radiology department to remain at the forefront of imaging.

Washington DC
The city of Washington DC is a metropolitan city which serves as the nations capitol as well as host to multinational community.

The city is full of exciting events and local recreational activities.

Resident Life
One of the best aspects about the program is resident life. The residents which make up the program are all intelligent, friendly, and excited about radiology.  The close-knit, collegial relationships between the residents and faculty sets our program apart from many others.

While in the hospital, the environment is focused on teaching and providing excellent service.

Annual Barbeque

Outside of radiology, the group has a great time as well. Every year the department hosts a welcoming bar-b-que and throughout the year the residents meet at several happy hours and other social functions.

The residents are looking forward to spring and the start of the hospital softball league.
