Dr. Lucien M. Levy is Professor of Radiology and Chief of Neuroradiology at the George Washington University Medical Center. He received his MD from Johns Hopkins University where he also specialized in radiology and neuroradiology. He holds a PhD in Biomedical and Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His areas of interest include advanced MR imaging techniques and clinical applications, MRI of CSF flow, functional imaging of various disorders, and MR spectroscopy of neurotransmitters. His curriculum vitae lists more than 40 peer-reviewed articles, 20 book chapters and over 170 presentations at meetings. The numerous awards he has received include the Di Chiro award for outstanding scientific research, Award of Excellence from the Symposium Neuroradiologicum, recognition awards with special distinction for outstanding reviews in Radiology, and Award of Excellence in Clinical Neuropsychology from the American Psychological Association. Dr. Levy belongs to multiple medical professional societies and has been a scientific reviewer for many scientific journals as well as for the National Institutes of Health. He has been Senior Editor for the American Journal of Neuroradiology since 2007, and Associate Editor for Radiology since 2009.
