Welcome to the website of the GWU Department of Orthopaedic Surgery.  The faculty at GWU have been training orthopaedic residents for decades.  Almost one in four of our residents have chosen to pursue academic medicine.  Though the core education prepares residents for general orthopaedic practice, the majority elect for advanced training in the form of a fellowship.
