Requirements
  • Attend all designated lectures, conferences, and grand rounds.
  • Attend all Teaching Resident Sessions.
  • Attend all weekly Preceptor Meetings. It is imperative that you contact your preceptor on the 1st or 2nd day of your rotation. (Priority)
  • Keep log of clinical case experiences.
    • minimum of 10 surgical cases
    • minimum of 10 outpatient encounters
    • minimum of 10 obstetrical cases
  • Have competency forms completed by senior resident (PGY 3,4) or attending
    • Pelvic exam
    • OB exam in laboring patient
    • OB/GYN history
    • Acute care assessment in Emergency Room
      or Labor and Delivery Triage
    • Oral exam with preceptor
    • Written exam
    • Sign-off on mid-rotation feedback form that are completed by the Teaching Resident and reviewed together with the medical student and Teaching Resident.
