Student Schedule - Holy Cross Hospital

Daily Schedule

  1. All notes written by 6:30am, M-F, by 8:30am, Sat/Sun, unless otherwise specified.
  2. Morning sign-outs in physician’s lounge on L&D at 7am, M-F, 9am, Sat/Sun.
  3. Daily schedule assignments will be posted in call room by 7am. Any changes/conflicts must be discussed with the TR.
  4. ALL lectures/conferences/grand rounds are mandatory.

Monday 7:45am—high risk conference @PDC (3rd floor)
Tuesday 7:15am—Teaching Resident lecture/student presentations
Wednesday 7:15am—GWUH Grand Rounds
Student day
Thursday 7:15am—Teaching Resident lecture/student presentations
Friday 7:30am—HCH Grand Rounds

Important Phone Numbers

Page System:
To page in house at Holy Cross-dial 7111.
Outside the hospital the number is 301-754-7111. At the voice prompt dial the pager id number followed by the #, then the call back number followed by the #.
The OB student pager is 1201 and the GYN pager is 1202.
The OB resident pager is 1095, the GYN is 1096.
The chief resident is 1345. The other residents vary and the call room posts a list.

Many doors at Holy Cross require an access code. The men and women’s locker rooms outside the OR have keypads and Audrey will give you an access code.

Some important phone numbers (all begin with 754 when calling from an outside line) are L&D 7590, Clinic 7630, ER 7500, and OR 7250.

There are three computer systems at Holy Cross. Clinstar is used for labs.
