Mission Statement - Genetics Web Page

To provide current, basic and advanced information about genetics to GW primary care providers, specialist physicians, other health care providers, GWU medical students, graduate students and researchers, and to interns, residents and fellows within GWU Graduate Medical Education programs.

To allow health care providers to give feedback regarding the needs for genetic services within GWU, and to help develop the system to provide those services.

To offer education through written information, lectures, and links to electronic services on the World Wide Web.

    1. GW Primary Care Providers
    2. GME participants - Interns, Residents and fellows in all fields of medicine and surgery
    3. GWU health care providers
    4. Graduate students and researchers
  2. Centralized resource to identify some of the many useful WWW sites dealing with Genetics services:
    1. These include clinical resources, support groups for patients and their families and guides for laboratory services.
