Welcome to your Obstetrics and Gynecology clerkship. We are pleased to work with you in our office, on labor and delivery and in the operating room. During this clerkship you will be working with other medical students, physician assistant students, nurses, nurse practitioners, administrators, OBGYN residents and faculty members at GWU, Holy Cross Hospital and Fairfax Hospital. You will be working as part of a team and we will help to orient you to our specialty. We have worked to develop a thorough curriculum that will build on what you learned in the MS1 and MS2 years. It is important for you to be punctual, ask questions when in doubt, and to come prepared for rounds, clinic, labor and delivery and the operating room. During the clerkship, you will learn by caring for patients and evaluating their medical and surgical problems as they present. Please take time to be thorough in your evaluations and precise in your written and oral presentations.
