My interest in medicine went beyond what I could learn in the classroom, and I knew that GW would provide me with numerous opportunities to interact with both my immediate community and the global community.
Further, I was drawn to the world-renowned faculty who delivered relevant and meaningful lectures, which taught me how to analyze illness in a way that normally takes numerous years of experience, and trained me how to consider the needs of patients from multiple viewpoints.
I pursued an M.B.A. to understand the business side of health delivery and better manage the non-profit, Foundation for International Medical Relief of Children (FIMRC), which I founded during my time at GW. My career—and life—would be much different today had I not been exposed to the outstanding resources, vibrant environment, and encouraging people at GW.
