Welcome to the website of the Department of Pathology at the George
Washington University Medical Center. We hope you find the information
and links provided here useful. As you can see, Pathology at the
GWUMC is a dynamic department in a world-class medical center located
in the heart of the nation's capital here in Washington, DC. Our
talented and dedicated faculty, fellows, residents, students, and
staff combine to bring the very best in clinical laboratory services,
medical education, and research to the Medical Center, the region,
and the nation. In August of 2002, the Medical Center celebrated
the opening of our totally new, state-of-the-art, 370-bed hospital,
located immediately adjacent to the School
of Medicine and Health Sciences. This new facility provides
a modern physical plant and cutting edge technology that are unsurpassed
anywhere in the country. The clinical laboratories are located in
a wing of the new building dedicated totally to the Department of
Pathology, where both Anatomic and Clinical Pathology services are
housed in adjoining space. Our research laboratories are located
in the adjacent medical school building.
We're happy to present information here about our faculty,
