Physical Therapy Program

The George Washington University Program in Physical Therapy is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE). The degree conferred to successful graduates of the GWU Physical Therapy program is the Master of Science in Health Sciences.

The design of the PT Program reflects the University's vision for excellence in education. The program has stated a commitment to the education of physical therapists who will be highly regarded in the community because they are well-qualified and compassionate practitioners, demonstrate expert clinical skills and contribute significantly to the lives of their clients, the profession of physical therapy and the health care system.

A key element of the mission of our program is to educate physical therapists

Our students and graduates will demonstrate maturity, effective communication skills, a commitment to lifelong learning, and a strong desire to work with patients and clients in health care.
