Progress to date: The Creativity Discovery Corps has helped coordinate
several exhibits displaying the works of previously unknown or under-recognized
creative older persons. The work of some of these individuals is now showing
in Washington, D.C. area museums. In addition, a national conference on
Creativity and Aging was held at The George Washington University in December
1998, where work of newly discovered talented older persons was highlighted
along with community-based programs demonstrating best practice approaches
that enable older persons to explore and access their creative potential.
