Intergenerational Issues

Studies on Intergenerational Issues and Opportunities, with attention to:

  • Research on the roles of older people as a national resource in working with children and young adults, such as studies of the dynamics involved when older persons assume the role of key members of the informal support system in helping address health problems in their extended families or in their communities;

  • Research on the creative involvement of young people (e.g. high school and college age individuals) in cost efficient and clinically effective service delivery approaches to treating different health problems experienced by older adults in diverse settings of care; the impact of such interventions on both older adults and their milieus will be examined.
