National Health Reform Comparative Analysis Project
In early 2009 caSNP developed an analytical framework for objective comparative analysis of national health reform legislative proposals and their implications for cancer prevention, detection, treatment, navigation and survivorship. The comparative analysis project was designed to help policy makers, advocacy organizations, health professionals and the public understand what national health reform would mean to cancer patients, caregivers and health care providers. As new national health reform legislative proposals were released they were analyzed and added to existing comparisons on our website. Two health reform bills -- the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 and the Health Care and Education Affordability Reconciliation Act of 2010 -- were signed into law in March.

to visit our caSNP Resources page for additional sources of information about the new health reform laws and progress being made toward implementation.
Over the next few months caSNP will release several issue briefs and case studies highlighting how the new national health reform laws will impact cancer patients, survivors and navigation. If you would like to be notified once these briefs and studies are available please email casnp@gwumc.edu or call (202) 994-4088 and provide your name and contact information.
