About caSNP

In 2009, the George Washington University Cancer Institute (GWCI) partnered with the Department of Health Policy in the School of Public Health and Health Services (SPHHS) to create the Center for the Advancement of Cancer Survivorship, Navigation and Policy (caSNP).

The center is committed to advancing patient navigation and cancer survivorship efforts both locally and nationally through training, research, policy analysis, outreach and education.

The George Washington University Cancer Institute (GWCI)

GWCI was founded in 2003 and since its inception has taken a comprehensive approach to cancer, by bringing together multidisciplinary clinical, research, education, and outreach teams to advance prevention, diagnosis, treatment and survivorship.

Department of Health Policy in the School of Public Health and Health Services (SPHHS)

The Department of Health Policy prepares students, through rigorous teaching, research, and service, to analyze and engage in all phases of health policy in a broad, cross-cutting, and real-world context. Serving the Schools of Public Health and Health Services, Law, Medicine, and Public Policy and Public Administration, the Department offers nationally renowned faculty and unparalleled learning opportunities.
