The George Washington University is offering several tracks to the MS degree in Genomics and Bioinformatics also utilizes the McCormick genomics Center. The McCormick Center was designed to promote the research, education and clinical practice in the genomics of human disease and includes a core facility to coordinate and facilitate gene-based research. Equipment currently available at the McCormick core facility includes.

MS Students are given two part-time assistant-ships a year which also allows for nine credit hour tuition break. Also, almost all second-year students do usually obtain part-time assistant-ships in various principal investigator labs.
Various departments at The George Washington University Medical Center offer a wide variety of research opportunities in various topics and concentrations.

The M.S. Degree Program in Genomics and Bioinformatics will utilize several new pieces of equipment at the core facility.
