RESEARCH

he research mission of the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology is to conduct basic and translational research at the highest scientific level. Our faculty members are dedicated to searching for path-breaking scientific discoveries in the areas of cellular and molecular biochemistry through our signature research programs in cancer, hepatobiology, and diseasecentered computational genomics.

The department is also home of the Genomic Core, the McCormick Genomic Center, and the Institute of Coregulator Biology. In the coming years, the department will continue to particularly strengthening the areas of signaling, post-translational modifications, protein-protein interactions, and transcription controls.
