iochemistry is the study of living systems on the molecular level. Continuous new findings generate tremendous excitement and lead to greater understanding of both normal and abnormal physiological processes which enable us to explain many diseases in molecular terms.

The Department of biochemistry and Molecular Biology offers two M.S. programs (either a thesis and a nonthesis option) in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology as well as a Ph.D. program in Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics. The Department is also a sponsor of the interdepartmental M.S. program in Genomics and Bioinformatics.
